I am restoring my LegacyApp notes from my backup but I don't remember which email or password I used

When you first set up your LegacyApp account, you used either your Google Drive or Apple iCloud account.

To access your backup, especially after your first installation of LegacyApp on a new device, you’ll need a password to log in. This is the password you set when you first registered a LegacyApp account. If you don't remember the password you used, you will need to reset your old password and create a new one.

How to restore your LegacyApp notes if you don't remember your email or password: a short step-by-step guide

  1. Click HERE to go to the "Forgot my password" page.
  2. Enter the email address linked to your personal Google Drive or Apple iCloud account whcih contains your backup. If you’re unsure which email account you used when setting up your LegacyApp account, the simplest way to check this is to search your mailboxes for any messages sent by "@app.legacyapp.rip". Your email account that has received messages from our LegacyApp email address is the one linked to your LegacyApp account.
  3. LegacyApp will send you an email containing a unique link to create a new password. Follow the link to set up a new password.
  4. Now open LegacyApp and enter the email address linked to your LegacyApp account and the new password you just set up.
  5. Now you’ll be able to restore your notes saved in the encypted backup file stored on your personal cloud using your Encryption Key.

The app will ask you to provide the Encyption Key which you created when saving the backup copy of your LegacyApp notes - and you will be shown the hint you entered that should allow you to guess, remember or find the Encryption Key. Please note that you will not be able to restore your LegacyApp notes unless you are able to enter the Encryption Key.
